This One Stays at 11

6 years ago, on 11/11/11, Rodney Raines (Ace Custom Tattoo in Plaza-Midwood, Charlotte, NC) started a new tradition of tattooing knobs that go to 11. It’s been a few years since he’s done this (and I didn’t have one) so I jumped on the chance when I found out he was doing them again this year.

In honor of the Noise Closet, Elephants Jerald, Shannon’s Law, Shannon’s Theorem, my music library, and life in general, I now have a NOISE KNOB that stays at 11.

Finding Neverland is not about a clown fish separated from his father. Oops.

Apple Maps to the Rescue

While walking around NYC testing a camera app, I searched Apple Maps for coffee wifi because it appears to be impossible to add a word to the search box after choosing Drinks > Coffee Shops from the categories. You can put the cursor in the text box beside the Coffee Shops” tag but as soon as you type, Coffee Shops” is cleared from the box. So I couldn’t search for Coffee Shops” and wifi. No biggie, surely typing coffee and wifi would find places near me in Hells Kitchen that had both coffee and wifi in their titles or descriptions, right?

Nailed it.

As I’ve said every day for the last 10(? 13?) years, Apple has a search problem.
